The best area to live in Cardiff:

When it comes to the best places to live in Cardiff for students, Cathays is usually the first place that comes to mind. With accommodation close to Cardiff University, living in Cathays puts you within a 5-minute walk of the main campus.

Cathays is a hotspot for student living due to its abundance of Student Accommodation Cardiff, student-oriented pubs, bars, and restaurants, all of which offer very reasonable prices. You can leave for lectures at 9 a.m. after rolling out of bed 5 minutes earlier and picking up a Magic Wrap sandwich on the way. On the way back, who could resist a quick bite to eat and a pint at the Woodville pub, truly the best location for Cardiff University students?

Roath, which borders Cathays, is a little further out from the city center. Although it is not as conveniently located for Cardiff University accommodation as Cathays, it is still a hub of activity for Cardiff Metropolitan students. Roath is a vibrant community with its own park. This is an excellent location for those looking to get some fresh air, hang out with their friends, or go for a quick jog around the lake.

Cardiff University students have a 20-minute walk to lectures, but the convenient trade-off for this slightly longer walk is slightly cheaper rental options.

Heath is still a little further out than Cathays and Roath. Having said that, Heath is still one of the best areas to live in Cardiff for students, offering a great option for final-year students or those looking for a quieter life away from the daily hustle and bustle of Cathays. Heath has housing near the university's Heath Park Campus, making it ideal for those studying healthcare-related courses.
